So many people remember the flood of emotions as the Berlin Wall came down. But there’s an entire generation who weren’t alive to understand the lessons learned. Right now across Berlin, scenes of 1989 are being projected on buildings to bring history alive.
Alexanderplatz, the square seen in this video, was the site of the largest demonstration in East Germany. 30 years ago, more than a hundred thousand people demanded free elections here.
