Thousands of people gathered in the Rose Capital of America on Monday, wondering if the weather would prove to be a “thorn in the side” for chances to witness history. Fortunately, crowds of people were able to witness a dazzling corona as the Moon passed in front of the Sun.

Located in the path of totality, the city received nearly 2 minutes of darkness. But those couple of minutes were filled joy for everyone celebrating on the downtown square.

I had the opportunity to share the moment with Gray Television viewers around the country in a live report for ‘Local News Live.’

Unfortunately, it’ll be another three centuries before Tyler is in the path of another total eclipse.
