Northwestern State University’s annual Homecoming reunion is always one of my favorite times of year! It’s a great reminder of how special Natchitoches and NSU will always be for me.

I was surprised, but so very honored to receive the ‘Outstanding Young Alumnus’ award from my Alma Mater at halftime of the football game. Perhaps more deserving of recognition — the two other dedicated Demon alumni awarded for their lifelong commitment. Read more about them here.

It was even more meaningful to have my parents with me for a weekend that was filled with reunions, board meetings, a parade, tailgating, scholarship presentations, and great Louisiana cuisine.

Not only did NSU prepare me for my career, but it set me off in the world with a network of amazing friends. All weekend, I kept thinking of how blessed I am that NSU continues to add so much to my life!
