Since 1927, Natchitoches, Louisiana has hosted one of the oldest community-based holiday celebrations in the country. The annual Christmas Festival features hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights, a parade, concerts, community events, and several world-class fireworks displays produced by the famous Zambelli family fireworks company. In 2013, Natchitoches was ranked 3rd “Best Holiday Light Show” behind the Rockefeller Center and Disney World in the nation by Yahoo.com.
