WATCH: Inside Europe’s largest cathedral

Construction on the Cologne Cathedral began in 1248 and wasn’t completed until 1880. With its iconic spires, the cathedral has the largest façade of any church in the world. The artistic masterpieces and relics contained inside help make this the most-visited destination in Germany.
