As part of its Greek Life Centennial celebration, Northwestern State University recognized 100 distinguished individuals for their notable contributions to fraternity and sorority life at the university over the last century.
Lane Luckie, a 2008 graduate and an alumnus of the Beta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, was among the graduates honored through NSU’s 100 for 100 program.
The first 100 inductees will form the first class for the future Northwestern State University Greek Life Hall of Fame.
Finalists were awarded by a selection committee, which reviewed hundreds of nominations. Nominees must must have graduated with a degree from NSU a minimum of 10 years ago, and have met one or more of the following: involved in their fraternity/sorority locally and at the regional level or above; has contributed to the University during their time as an alumna/alumnus; involved in professional and/or civic activities; considered a leader in their chosen profession.
The inductees were recognized at a champagne toast on Saturday, April 9, as part of a full weekend of events to celebrate 100 years of Greek Life at NSU, including the Flavor of Louisiana, chapter meetings and open house, a festival on the downtown Natchitoches riverbank, and class decade reunions.
